1 Corinthians 9 vs 16 to 27

” If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me. What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights as a preacher of the gospel.”

What is Eternal Rewards?

According to Collins Dictionary;
A Reward is something that you are given, for example because you have behaved well, worked hard, or provided a service to the community; Something that is Eternal lasts for ever.
Which means that Eternal Rewards are things we are given that would last for ever because of the works we have done for Christ as christians on earth.

Benefits of Being Born Again.

1. You are assured of your salvation.

It is normal to doubt if your salvation is real as a new believer. However, you need not to worry and grow doubt as there is full assurance that Christ has come into your life , your sins have been forgiven and that you have eternal life

2. You enjoy God’s Unconditional Love.

It doesn’t matter what situation you are in now, one thing is sure; God loves you, chose you and calls you his child. Whatever people or the enemy may promote in your mind to the contrary is a clever lie that your must refute by trusting more in God.

3. You have a New Life in Christ.

You might not see this, but it is true that you are a new creation and have a new life is in Christ. Like a newborn baby, you will have to grow and learn a lot about this new life though. My dear, you have a relationship that will continue the rest of your life.

4. You enjoy the privilege of prayer.

Unlike when you were a nonbeliever, you can now talk to God as one would a friend. The good thing about this communication is that your friend (God) talks back and answers your requests. The answer might not be instantly visible but it is always there for every prayer made. It is also interesting to note that you can talk to your heavenly father on virtually any topic; nothing is too private, sensitive or insignificant to discuss (Philippians 4:6)!

What Crowns May Believers Win.

1. Victor’s Crown; 1 Corinthians 9vs 25-27

Self-discipline requires the ability to say “No” when necessary—and not just to things that are sinful. As the saying goes, “The good is the enemy of the best.” Serving God involves narrowing our focus to those things with the highest eternal value. Life is full of good things that take our focus off the best Christ has to offer. It is up to us to identify them and choose accordingly. Those who exercise such discipline will receive the Victor’s Crown.

2 . Crown for soul winners/ Crown of rejoicing: This crown is rewarded to people who bring others to Christ, also know as soul winners.

3. Crown for participation; 2 timothy 4 vs 8.

4. Crown for the faithful ones; James 1 vs 12

5. Crowns for true pastors; 1peter 5 vs 4

6. Crown of life; Revelation 2 vs 10

Believers who maintain their love for Christ while triumphing over persecution, temptation, and even martyrdom, receive this crown. Many people will receive this crown because they gave their life for their faith, but there will be others wearing this crown too. Any believer who has kept the faith when it was costly to do so—anyone who has suffered, endured, persevered, and encouraged others—will receive the Crown of Life.
